Here here! We pagans RESPECT others and their choice of life path. It is
fundamentally against our beliefs to force our beliefs on anyone (read: we are NOT
'missionaries') We believe in kindness and honoring the earth, which this why
this hobby is so very appealing to witches and other pagans. To put it very
simply, our god and goddess imagery are the embodiment of the passing of the
seasons and cycle of nature. We do not believe in Satan (Christians believe in
Satan). We believe that no one and nothing can MAKE you do evil things.
'Satan' does not make you do evil things. If you do evil things, that is your choice.
Blessed be!
-Kim (Rustypuff) - a proud pagan who is trying really hard to restrain her
own rant...
Please forgive me if I have offended anyone, but it is very frustrating to
hear opinions like that, and I feel the need to try and educate. I respect
anyone who finds solace, peace and a path within their spirituality, whatever it
may be, but I also think wisdom comes from learning the open-minded truth about
others' ways, be they Jewish, pagan, Islamic or Buddhist or Native
American...or what have you.

To suggest getting rid of an image because it may depict a spiritually
offensive theme is just as ignorant as someone suggesting the doing away
of all images of 'The Last Supper' because it may "suggest" cannibalism
(that whole 'eat of my flesh and drink of my blood' thing).
Restraining ourselves also............
